The NCD and RMN ACH Research Manager is a Grade 4A position based in Rwinkwavu, reporting to the Director of the NCD Program, with oversight of Data Collectors, Junior NCD Researchers, and RMN ACH Researchers. This role will primarily operate from Rwinkwavu, with regular engagement in Irene District. The position involves leading and managing research initiatives across Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) and Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Adolescent, and Child Health (RMN ACH), ensuring scientific rigor, high-quality execution, and seamless integration with clinical and program teams. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in qualitative and quantitative research, strong scientific writing abilities, and a proven track record in overseeing research projects from inception to dissemination. Responsibilities include mentoring junior researchers, supervising field teams, and advancing Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives within both program areas. Key Responsibilities: – Research Leadership & Project Management: Develop, coordinate, and execute research projects within NCD and RMN ACH programs, including protocol design, study procedures, and data collection tools in collaboration with principal investigators and program teams. Ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, ethical standards, data security, and study protocols. – Methodological Oversight: Oversee quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research, guaranteeing rigorous data collection, management, and analysis while supervising research staff and integrating clinical insights. – Writing & Dissemination: Lead the preparation of abstracts, reports, manuscripts, policy briefs, and grant proposals, presenting findings to stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health, partners, and academic platforms. – Mentorship & Capacity Building: Guide junior researchers and clinical staff, enhancing research capabilities within Input Mu Burma (IMB) through training and fostering evidence-based practices. – Quality Improvement: Direct QI projects, ensuring methodological soundness, data-driven decision-making, and alignment with program priorities, while translating findings into actionable strategies. Qualifications: – Education: Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, Global Health, Social Sciences, or a related field. – Experience: Minimum five years of full-time research experience, preferably in global health, with demonstrated leadership in independent research projects from design
