Le salaire est « à discuter » : renseignez-vous avant d'appeler sur ce que paie un ménage à domicile dans le secteur (généralement 25 000 à 40 000 FCFA au Burkina selon logement et horaires) et annoncez un chiffre plutôt que d'attendre une proposition, sinon la négociation démarre au plus bas. Choisissez consciemment entre la formule logée et la formule aller-retour : la première supprime vos frais de transport mais efface la frontière entre travail et repos. Faites préciser l'heure de « descente de service » de la patronne, car c'est elle qui fixera la longueur réelle de vos journées.
