The Parliamentary Service Commission of Kenya is one of the Independent Commissions in Kenya established under Article 127 of the Constitution of Kenya to ensure smooth functioning of the Houses of Parliament i.e. Senate of Kenya and National Assembly of Kenya. The Commission is established under Article 127 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 to among others provide services and facilities to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of Parliament. Article 127 of the Constitution provides that the Parliamentary Service Commission shall consist of, among others, one man and one woman appointed by Parliament from among persons who are experienced in public affairs, but are not members of Parliament.
The Secretary to the Commission now invites applications for one (1) vacant position for a female Member of the Parliamentary Service Commission under Article 127(2)(d) of the Constitution. The vacancy is to be filled by Parliament as provided for under Article 127(2)(d) of the Constitution. Please note that there is currently no vacancy for the one man Commissioner under Article 127(2)(d) of the Constitution. Therefore, only qualified female candidates are invited
