Job Summary: The company is looking for an experienced and highly competent Finance & Accounts Manager to oversee its financial operations, reporting, taxation, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate must be a Certified Accountant with strong professional accounting experience and a solid understanding of Nigerian tax laws, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and financial management. Candidates with proven experience in the agro-allied or manufacturing industry are strongly preferred and will be considered a key requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the company’s accounting and financial operations. Prepare, review, and analyze monthly and periodic financial reports and statements. Manage account reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely financial records. Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory regulations, and other financial requirements. Manage tax computations, filings, remittances, and related statutory obligations. Monitor budgets, expenses, cash flow, and overall financial performance. Prepare financial forecasts and provide financial insights to support management decision-making. Coordinate internal and external audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit issues. Monitor financial controls and recommend improvements where necessary. Utilize ERP/accounting systems for financial reporting, analysis, and management. Work closely with management and other departments to improve cost control and financial efficiency. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5–7 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably at a managerial or supervisory level. Must be a Certified Accountant with relevant professional accounting certification(s) such as ICAN or ACCA. Mandatory: Proven accounting/finance experience within the agro-allied or manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, reconciliation, budgeting, cash flow management, and statutory compliance. Good understanding of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory requirements. Experience with ERP/accounting software is highly desirable. Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
