Job description Responsibilities Lead electrical engineering design for control systems, switchgear, power distribution and motor control centre assemblies. Prepare electrical schematics, layouts, wiring diagrams, single line diagrams, bills of materials and specifications. Collaborate with process, instrumentation, mechanical and automation teams to integrate electrical solutions into modular equipment designs. Support electrical assembly, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site installation and commissioning activities. Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (IEC, SANS, ECSA, ISO quality & safety protocols). Troubleshoot electrical and control issues during installation and testing phases. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians. Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and modular electrical solutions. Qualifications & Experience BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). Professional registration with ECSA (PrEng) is highly preferred. 5+ years’ experience in an electrical engineering role with exposure to industrial electrical design and automation. Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, power distribution, motor controls and PLC/SCADA systems. Experience with electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN) and MS Office. Familiar with standards such as IEC 61439, SANS and recognised quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001). Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills. Apply now!
