Through innovative, impactful, and adaptable solutions, we empower individuals to identify fulfilling career trajectories while equipping companies with the high-caliber talent essential for recruitment, growth, and long-term retention. About the role: Our client is in search of an Earthwork Foreman to oversee and coordinate daily earthworks operations on construction, mining, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects. This position demands an exceptionally skilled construction professional who can effectively manage earthmoving crews, heavy machinery, materials, productivity, quality, and safety standards while ensuring all work is executed in accordance with approved plans, project timelines, and company protocols. Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of hands-on earthworks experience, with a proven track record of leading large-scale earthmoving operations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise all daily earthworks operations, ensuring adherence to project specifications, safety protocols, and environmental regulations. Oversee the coordination of equipment, personnel, and materials to maintain workflow efficiency and productivity. Verify compliance with construction plans, quality standards, and industry best practices while addressing any deviations or challenges promptly. Provide guidance to crew members, conduct regular inspections, and document progress to support reporting and decision-making processes. Site clearing and grubbing. Bulk excavation and cut-to-fill activities are integral components of our operational scope. These processes involve extensive earthmoving tasks and precise grading to achieve proper site preparation and landform adjustments. Embankment construction. Trenching and backfilling. Road formation and subgrade preparation involve establishing a solid foundation for pavement structures through careful grading, compaction, and stabilization of the underlying soil layers. This process ensures proper drainage, load-bearing capacity, and long-term durability of the roadway, meeting engineering specifications and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include surveying the site, adjusting grades, and utilizing heavy machinery to achieve the required density and uniformity, while adhering to project timelines and safety protocols. Borrow-pit and material-winning operations. Stockpiling and material handling. Rock excavation where applicable. The role involves managing drainage systems and related civil construction activities. Compaction and final trimming. Interpret construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and work instructions to ensure accurate execution of project requirements. Organize and distribute daily tasks while efficiently assigning workforce, machinery, and materials to ensure optimal productivity and resource utilization. To guarantee the precision of earthworks, verify that all operations strictly adhere to specified lines, levels, grades, slopes, and permissible tolerances. Oversee the execution of excavation, hauling, spreading, watering, grading, and compaction operations. Track production outputs to verify adherence to daily and weekly performance goals. Analyze potential site constraints to determine their impact on productivity or project schedules, then develop and implement effective solutions to mitigate these issues. Plant and Equipment Management Coordinate the optimal deployment and utilization of excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, rollers, water bowlers, dump trucks, and other heavy earthmoving machinery to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency on-site. Oversee the tracking of equipment utilization rates, productivity metrics, and operational availability to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. Conduct daily inspections of plant machinery and equipment in collaboration with designated operators. Identify any equipment malfunctions and liaise with the maintenance department to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum. Operators must be trained to utilize machinery with the utmost safety and efficiency at all times. Track fuel usage diligently and identify opportunities to reduce unnecessary plant idling and prevent wastage. Minimum Requirements: A diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction, Earthworks, or a related discipline is required. With more than a decade of hands-on expertise in earthworks, civil construction, mining, infrastructure, or similar project environments, candidates should demonstrate extensive field experience. Demonstrated expertise in overseeing extensive earthmoving projects and leading construction teams. Proficient in earthworks operations, encompassing excavation, cut-and-fill processes, embankment construction, trenching, road formation, drainage systems, compaction techniques, and material handling procedures. Proficient in analyzing construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and work instructions with accuracy and clarity. Accomplished in the oversight and management of a diverse fleet of heavy earthmoving machinery, such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, rollers, water bowlers, and dump trucks. Skilled in organizing daily operations, assigning staff, equipment, and resources efficiently, and ensuring productivity levels are consistently met. Possesses a comprehensive grasp of site safety protocols, quality assurance standards, and environmental compliance regulations. Proficient in tracking production targets and swiftly diagnosing and addressing site constraints and operational challenges. Accomplished leadership capabilities, exceptional communication proficiency, and adept team management expertise are essential attributes for this role. Demonstrated capacity to perform effectively in high-pressure environments while consistently delivering projects within established deadlines. Conducting or overseeing routine inspections of plant machinery and equipment, documenting any observed defects or issues as part of daily operational checks. • Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
