We are currently seeking a Domain Expert in Pharmacy, specifically for UpToDate Lexidrug. To qualify, you must use UpToDate Lexidrug (or Lexicomp) regularly – at least weekly – as a working part of your job, and have 2+ years of professional pharmacy experience.
Lexidrug Knowledge Required
Core (required of all candidates):
Know how to work a full medication-list interaction check to completion – not just confirm a single named pair, but judge severity ratings and mechanism of interaction across the whole list.
Know how to weigh contraindications, boxed warnings, and warnings/precautions against a specific patient’s situation, not just check whether a flag exists.
Know how to distinguish “not contraindicated” from “appropriate for this patient” – and where in the monograph that second judgment actually gets made.
Know how to reconcile a Special Alert against monograph content when they conflict – recognizing alerts generally take precedence until reconciled.
