Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT) was established under the University's Act 2012 by the Government of Kenya in December 2012. It is a Public University that focuses exclusively on Technology. It is the successor of Kimathi University College of Technology (KUCT), a constituent college of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D)-Civil and Environmental Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering)General Information for Graduate Assistants:
This category of scholarships is open to all Kenyans under the age of 30 years who will also be engaged as graduate assistants.
Applicants for M.Sc MUST have obtained a minimum of Second-Class Honors (Upper Division) in a relevant degree from a recognized and accredited University.
Upon successful completion of the Master's Programme, candidates who will be engaged as Graduate Assistants under category 1 shall be expected to transition to Ph.D. under the scholarship programme.
The successful candidates shall be bonded under the applicable terms and conditions of the Dedan Kimathi University of Technology.
The successful candidates shall be expected to complete their studies within the prescribed study period.
Candidates must be registered or registrable with relevant professional and or regulatory bodies where applicable.
General Information for Tutorial Fellows:
This category of scholarships is open to all Kenyans who will be engaged as tutorial fellows.
Applicants for Ph.D MUST have obtained a minimum of a Master of Science in a relevant degree from a recognized and accredited University.
The successful candidates shall be bonded under the applicable terms and conditions of the Dedan Kimathi University of Technology.
The successful candidates shall be expected to complete their studies within the prescribed study period.
Candidates must be registered or registrable with relevant professional and or regulatory bodies where applicable.
