The NCD and RMN ACH Research Manager position, based in Rwinkwavu with frequent travel to Irene district, reports to the Director of the NCD Program and oversees a team of data collectors and junior researchers. Partners In Health (PIN), a Boston-based nonprofit, advances health equity by delivering care, training, and research in underserved communities worldwide, including Rwanda, where it collaborates with the Government through Input Mu Burma (IMB) to strengthen health systems. PIN’s work encompasses non-communicable diseases (NCDs), oncology, surgery, and reproductive, maternal, neonatal, adolescent, and child health (RMN ACH), with Rwinkwavu and Kirehe serving as key program sites. This role will lead research initiatives across both portfolios, ensuring scientific rigor, operational excellence, and alignment with clinical and programmatic priorities, while mentoring staff, overseeing quality improvement efforts, and driving dissemination of findings. The position requires advanced expertise in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research, along with strong leadership in project management, ethical compliance, and data governance. Responsibilities include designing and implementing research protocols, supervising field teams, analyzing data, and translating insights into actionable recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant advanced degree, at least five years of global health research experience, proficiency in data analysis tools, and fluency in English and Kinyarwanda, alongside a commitment to PIN’s core values of compassion, integrity, and solidarity.
