You report to the Deputy Representative for general guidance and direction. You responsible for developing a systematic, planned and evidence-based strategy and process for SBC as an integral part of programme development, planning and implementation. Through the use of appropriate social and behavioural science, as well as the empowerment and participation of stakeholders, communities, children, civil society partners and government counterparts, s/he promotes measurable behavioral and social change/mobilization. This subsequently contributes to the achievement of sustainable and concrete results on improving children's rights, survival and well-being in the country.

Responsabilités

Formation / Diplômes

An advanced university degree (Master's or higher) in a social and behavioral science, including sociology, anthropology,communication studies/communication for development, psychology and/or related field is required.

Expérience

A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant progressively responsible professional experience at the national and international levels in developing, implementing, evaluating, and managing social and behavioral change strategies and content is required. Demonstrated expertise in the application of social and behavior change science, theories, research, and analysis, to all stages of the programmes cycle. Demonstrated ability to stay current with new developments in the SBC field is required. Demonstrated experience in the execution of complex priorities, processes and projects in office work-plans. Proven ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels, including providing technical support and capacity building and establishing/managing external partnerships.
