About the Role: The Human Resource Intern will be responsible for supporting the human resource function, with a focus on recruitment administrative support, employee records management, and general operations. The intern will assist the team in keeping processes efficient, compliant, and well-documented.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment Support:
Support the HR Manager in organizing received applications, tracking applicant logs, and filing recruitment paperwork. Assist with scheduling interviews, coordinating logistics, and sending communications/invitations to candidates. Prepare interview packs, assessment templates, and interview summaries for hiring panels. Conduct basic reference checks and assemble candidate compliance documents prior to onboarding.
HR Documentation & Filing:
Maintain and update HR files, ensuring all active and former employee records are organized, up-to-date, and stored securely. Assist with auditing employee files to ensure compliance with organization policies and local labor laws (e.g., contracts, IDs, tax forms, statutory documents).
General HR Administration:
Draft routine HR letters, contracts, extension notices, using provided templates. Assist in organizing new hire orientation sessions, including preparing welcome kits and onboarding schedules. Support HR data entry into trackers, payroll support sheets, and HR metrics summaries. Assist in managing general HR inquiries and directing staff queries to the appropriate team member. Support team meetings and track follow-up tasks.
Safeguarding responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment. Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action. Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.

Recent graduate or current final-year student in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field. Professional HR certification (or progress toward one) is an advantage, but not required.
Required Skills, Competencies & Knowledge:
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. High degree of discretion, confidentiality, and integrity when dealing with sensitive personnel data. Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail in record-keeping. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good time-management skills with the ability to prioritize routine tasks effectively. Willingness to learn HR systems, processes, and local labor compliance standards. Strong interpersonal skills and interest in working in a multicultural non-profit environment.
Experience Requirements:
Prior exposure to administrative work, HR coursework, or volunteer operations experience is an advantage.
