NHC Maisha (Ndonyo Healthcare) began in 1998, operating as Dr. Odhiambo Clinic and Ndonyo Chemist with only two staff at Kangiri House. In 2003, NHC Maisha was born under the brand name Ndonyo Healthcare, offering services including general consultation, pharmacy, and laboratory. In 2004, the organization continued to grow and expand its services.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Pharmaceutical Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will manage inventory, dispense and service prescriptions accurately, and manage sales revenue effectively while providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
Help patients by dispensing prescribed drugs. Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, removing outdated drugs, and preparing ageing reports as often as possible. Maintain a safe and clean environment by complying with company standard operating procedures and government regulations. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Organize medications for dispensing by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, and assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies. Maintain records by recording orders and prescriptions. Generate revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing charges as well as issuing cash sale receipts. Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and other clientele.
Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing information and sending them on time as required in the standard operating procedures. Conduct marketing activities together with the branch team and ensure individual and branch sales targets are met or exceeded. Take responsibility for the pharmacy by ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and reporting any anomalies and breakages. Adhere to the Dangerous Drug Act regulations. Ensure standard operating procedures are followed to the letter and timely feedback is given. Perform any other duty assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience:
Diploma in Pharmacy. Pharmacy & Poisons Board certification with license. At least 2 years of experience, preferably from a healthcare setup.
