Job purpose To The Grants Officer will assist the Grants Director in sourcing potential grant opportunities, securing funding, and ensuring effective project execution. Additionally, the incumbent may be tasked with leading specific projects as needed and will play a key role in compiling precise, timely reports for both management and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities Assist in locating and evaluating potential funding sources to align with organizational objectives and project requirements. Provide support in compiling and submitting grant applications and proposals. Maintain adherence to all donor-specific mandates, established policies, and defined procedures. Facilitate the execution of funded initiatives while tracking their advancement to ensure timely and successful completion. Ensure the meticulous maintenance of grant records, documentation, and reporting systems with precision and thoroughness. Regular progress and financial reports are to be compiled and submitted to management and funders on a consistent basis. Serve as a project assistant in support of designated initiatives. We will partner with internal stakeholders and external collaborators to facilitate the seamless execution of projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery. Qualifications and experience Holders of a Grade 12 School Certificate must possess a minimum of five O Level credits, with English and Mathematics included among them, or an equivalent qualification. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field from an accredited or registered university is required. Proficiency in grant writing, grants management, and project proposal development will be considered advantageous. Additional experience in securing grant funding through successful solicitations will be highly advantageous. Belong to a pertinent professional organization or association. Competencies Proven expertise in grants administration and adherence to donor compliance standards is essential. Proven proficiency in crafting compelling proposals and producing detailed reports is essential. Proven expertise in budget development, financial oversight, and resource allocation is required. You possess exceptional abilities in fostering stakeholder engagement and cultivating strategic partnerships. Demonstrates exceptional analytical capabilities and a high degree of organizational proficiency.
