Plant Manager (Manufacturer)

We are looking for our client, an industrial company based in Abidjan, a Plant Manager. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site operations in order to ensure safe, efficient and efficient production.

Objectives of the position:

• Manage a team and site operations to ensure safe, efficient and efficient production.
• Ensure the achievement of production, quality, cost and time targets.
• Optimize the management of resources, raw materials and equipment in line with budgets.
• Ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement in line with the company strategy.
• Coordinate the various support functions to ensure compliance with HSSE, Quality and internal procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the implementation of Health and Safety Environmental (HSSE) directives and the continuous improvement of performance.
• Achieve production and shipping performance indicators in accordance with the requirements of the "Perfect Order".
• Maximize the productivity of operational departments (Shipping, Mixing, Packaging, Logistics, Maintenance, Laboratory, HSSE, Quality, Transit).
• Ensure the manufacture of products according to specifications and reduce costly rework.
• Optimize transport costs, Opex & Capex expenses and production capacity of the site.

• Motivate, coach, develop and recognize teams; set clear performance goals.
• Supervise preventive and routine maintenance programs to secure plant assets and capex investments.
• Ensure reliable reporting, recovery of trade receivables and implementation of cross-cutting projects (strategic reviews, technical evaluations and quality).
• Manage relations with administrative and customs authorities regarding taxes and customs duties.

Candidate profile:

• Minimum BAC+5 or equivalent qualification in a technical, industrial or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial environment, including production and/or operations support and a similar position.
• Leadership, sense of responsibility and ability to manage and develop teams.
• Control of industrial operations, operational performance and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of HSSE, Quality, Supply Chain and Risk Management standards.
• Ability to work independently, analyze problems and make effective decisions.
