Laboratory Technician II (Food and Beverage Production FBD)
Kabarak University, a private Chartered institution of higher learning that provides holistic Christian-based quality education, training, research and outreach activities for the service of God and humanity, is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Laboratory Technician II (Food and Beverage Production FBD). This is a contract position.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain resources to ensure optimum functionality. Conduct laboratory practicals. Ensure the laboratory and the equipment therein is secure. Ensure materials, simulation software and other relevant resources are availed. Actively play a role in exhibitions, conferences and seminars. Demonstrate tasks to students as assigned by subject lecturers. Develop laboratory manuals.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food Production, Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
Required Skills
Laboratory and inventory management skills and proficiency in Microsoft Suite. At least (3) years' experience working in reputable hotels, restaurants, catering establishments, institutional kitchens or hospitality training institutions. Possession of professional culinary certifications. Experience in both commercial and institutional food production.
