About This Role This role will be responsible in overseeing the disassembly, inspection, repair and reassembly of process plant equipment and specialized components in compliance with OEM standards and safety requirements, while establishing and managing rebuild workshop systems, procedures, QA/QC controls and reporting to eliminate rework.

Key Responsibilities Provide specialist technical support to rebuild trade personnel to ensure all maintenance, modification, servicing and installation activities are executed safely, efficiently, cost‑effectively, and in accordance with approved maintenance schedules and process plant priorities. Support mechanics and other technical staff in the repair, overhaul, reconditioning and routine maintenance of plant equipment. Supervise the field recovery of damaged or inoperative equipment and participate in resolving complex or non‑routine mechanical faults as required. Maintain accurate and detailed records of maintenance activities, including warranty and contract repairs and recommend equipment retirement based on condition, cost effectiveness and repair frequency. Provide expert advice on overhaul intervals and servicing schedules for field and plant equipment. Assist in the review and improvement of preventive maintenance and overhaul programs, including coordinating the movement of heavy equipment into workshops for servicing. Provide technical guidance on repair methods, procedures, material usage and rebuild standards for mechanical equipment. Maintain working knowledge of AGBL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards and ensure compliance within area of responsibility. Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, efficiency and operational performance. Ensure that staff are provided with the appropriate training, tools, skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and competently. Monitor work activities to identify breaches of legal, regulatory or corporate requirements and report such occurrences to management. Assist in accident and incident investigations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented within agreed timelines. Ensure all team members are competent in the use of the company’s asset maintenance management system to support operational continuity. Perform any additional duties as may be assigned from time to time in line with business requirements.

Education, Work Experience & Key Competencies Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering or an equivalent qualification. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor with proven experience in plant maintenance activities, preferably within a metallurgical or mineral processing plant environment. Experience should include component rebuilding, fabrication and equipment assembly and disassembly. Holder of a valid Inspecting Engineer’s Certificate of Competency issued by the Minerals Commission of Ghana. Demonstrated expertise in mechanical component rebuilding, fabrication, and equipment assembly and disassembly. Practical experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) asset management principles and mechanical plant equipment. Strong attention to detail, with a consistent focus on accuracy, quality and compliance. Results‑oriented, proactive, and innovative, with the ability to drive continuous improvement. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work productively in diverse and multicultural environments. Collaborative team player with a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
