As a Child Protection Specialist, you will report to the Child Protection Specialist for guidance and general oversight, assisting in the development and preparation of Child Protection programs. You will oversee the management, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and evaluation of child protection initiatives within the country program, providing technical guidance and operational support throughout execution. Your role will involve advancing administrative and strategic efforts to create a protective environment for children, shielding them from harm and upholding their rights to survival, development, and well-being as outlined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, international treaties, and frameworks established by UN intergovernmental bodies. You will contribute to achieving program objectives in alignment with approved plans, resource allocations, results-based management approaches, UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, and the organization’s performance and accountability framework. Key Responsibilities Include: – Supporting program and project development and strategic planning. – Managing programs, monitoring progress, and delivering measurable results. – Providing technical and operational guidance for effective implementation. – Building networks and fostering partnerships to strengthen impact. – Driving innovation, knowledge sharing, and capacity-building initiatives. – Ensuring compliance with Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA) and safeguarding policies.
