Basic job summary: The jobholder is responsible for patient care and managing clinical teams as per the organizational structure.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, patient-centre medical care to patients attending the university medical centre.
Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
Review and manage complex clinical cases and provide specialist guidance where required.
Ensure continuity of care through appropriate referrals, follow-up, and coordination with other healthcare providers.
Promote patient safety and adherence to evidence-based clinical practice.
Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor the quality of clinical services and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Lead clinical audits and review patient outcomes to improve service delivery.
Non-clinical Responsibilities (administrative):
Lead and supervise the clinical team, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of healthcare services.
Allocate clinical duties and coordinate daily operations within the medical centre.
Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Provide clinical guidance and support to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Operational Responsibility: Feedback to client, approve clinical procedures, recommend drugs, make and implement standard operating procedures for clinical processes.
Foster teamwork, professionalism, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Promote adherence to ethical and professional standards.
Investigate and manage clinical incidents and patient complaints.
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in medicine from a recognized institution.
Registered medical practitioner with the Kenya Medical Practitioners Board eligible for consultant status.
Have an up-to-date personal indemnity cover and professional license.
Have an up-to-date BLS and ACLS Certification.
Experience:
At least 6 years of Hospital experience.
At least 3 years of managerial experience.
Skills required:
Able to respond to demanding and complicated patient situations.
Effective communication with other doctors as well as patients.
Maintain concise, timely, and accurate confidential records of patients.
Able to prioritize patients according to their clinical needs.
Good time management skills to balance clinical and other duties.
Able to work under pressure.
Ability to solve difficult problems.
Should be able to challenge decisions.
Strong decision making and practical skills.
Risk and Compliance Associate
Job Type: Full Time
Qualification: BA/BSc/HND, Professional Certificate
Experience: 1 - 3 years

Job Field: Finance / Accounting / Audit
Basic Job Summary: The jobholder is responsible for supporting in conducting compliance reviews on the implementation and operational effectiveness of the risk management policies in the University, analysing areas of potential risk, and making appropriate recommendations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Risk Management practices Assessment:
Implement compliance risk management plans and advise managers on the practical application of relevant regulatory requirements.
Support in maintaining an University-wide and aggregated view on the risk profile of the University including assisting with development of risk appetite and risk appetite reporting.
Coordinate with departmental heads on updating the risk register and tracking closure of action plans.
Monitor control mechanisms implemented as part of the risk management process and assess the operational effectiveness.
Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement:
Implement compliance risk management plans and advise managers on the practical application of relevant regulatory requirements.
Monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations, university policies, and accreditation standards.
Investigate potential non-compliance issues and take appropriate action.
Conduct and document compliance risk assessment for each function in the business unit to ascertain compliance with risk management policy, standard operating procedures, and set guidelines.
Policy Development, Review and Implementation:
Develop and implement risk management and compliance policies and procedures.
Ensure that policies are clear, accessible, and effectively communicated to the university community.
Training and Communication:
Coordinate and provide training programs related to specific risk management areas as required and guide users where necessary.
Provide training and education to faculty, staff, and students on risk management and compliance matters.
Communicate updates on regulatory changes and best practices.
Reporting:
Prepare reports on risk and compliance activities for university leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Support internal and external audits.
Operational Responsibility:
Recommendation on continuous improvement opportunities in arising from the risk and compliance process.
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, risk management, business administration).
Professional Qualifications:
Professional Qualifications in either ICIFA/CISA/CISI/CRM, CISM, CPA.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience.
