Backend Developer
Clovers Management & Training Consultants Ltd. is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our team. Since 1978, we have built dedicated, long-term partnerships with our clients, and we pride ourselves on placing the right person in the right position. This is a full-time position requiring a BA/BSc/HND qualification.
Key Responsibilities
Software Development
Design, develop, and maintain backend applications, APIs, and microservices. Build scalable and secure enterprise-grade solutions using modern development frameworks. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integration services. Implement application security controls and secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and application defects.
Architecture & Engineering
Contribute to solution design and technical architecture discussions. Develop cloud-native and containerized applications. Ensure systems are scalable, resilient, performant, and maintainable. Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
DevSecOps & CI/CD
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated software delivery. Integrate security controls into development and deployment processes. Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to implement infrastructure-as-code and deployment automation. Monitor application performance and support operational excellence.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests. Support automated testing and quality assurance frameworks. Ensure code quality through peer reviews, static code analysis, and test coverage metrics. Participate in release management and deployment activities.
Cloud & Containerization
Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments. Utilize container technologies for application packaging and deployment. Support platform modernization initiatives leveraging cloud-native capabilities.
Collaboration & Delivery
Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, QA Engineers, and other developers. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement. Provide technical documentation and knowledge sharing across teams.
Technical Skills & Competencies
Programming Languages & Frameworks
Required: Java (Spring Boot), Python, ReactJS, Angular JS. Preferred: Experience with microservices-based architectures, API design and integration technologies.
DevSecOps & Engineering Practices
CI/CD pipeline implementation and management, source control systems (Git), Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC), DevSecOps practices and security-by-design principles, static and dynamic code analysis tools.
Testing
Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles, automated testing frameworks.
Cloud & Infrastructure
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), Infrastructure as Code concepts, monitoring and observability tools.
Containerization & Orchestration
Docker, Kubernetes / OpenShift, container security fundamentals.
Databases
Relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), NoSQL databases (advantageous).

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Effective documentation and presentation skills. Strong team player with a collaborative mindset. Ability to work effectively within cross-functional Agile teams. Willingness to mentor junior developers and share knowledge. Formation / Diplômes
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
Expérience
2–4 years of software development experience. Demonstrated experience developing enterprise backend applications. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Experience with cloud-native application development and CI/CD delivery.
