Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT) was established under the University's Act 2012 by the Government of Kenya in December 2012. It is a Public University that focuses exclusively on Technology. It is the successor of Kimathi University College of Technology (KUCT), a constituent college of Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
We are currently seeking applications for the position of Graduate Students in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Profile Sought:
Applicants must have a 1st Class or Upper Second Class Honours. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication and Information Engineering, or an equivalent from an accredited and recognized University. They must be registered for the DeKUT Master of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree programme. Additionally, they must be registered or registerable with a relevant professional body.
RTL development experience in either Verilog, VHDL or System Verilog OR Analogue VLSI design and scripting experience in standard EDA tools is desirable. The candidate's CV should highlight previous work involving RTL design, Analog design, or Control Loop Scripting. The candidates must have a keen interest in the design and development of semiconductor chips for Internet of Things (IoT) applications in areas such as health, agriculture, and environmental monitoring.
