Madison Group Limited, a locally owned financial services holding company specializing in insurance and wealth management services, is seeking dynamic and results-driven professionals to join our Retail Business Healthcare Division. The group comprises Madison Life Assurance Kenya Limited, Madison General Insurance Kenya Limited, and Madison Investment Managers Limited. Madison Life Assurance Kenya was originally incorporated under Kenyan Laws in 1988 as Madison Insurance Company Limited (MICK) after a successful merger between Crusader Plc (1974) and Kenya Commercial Insurance Corporation.

We are currently recruiting for the position of Unit Manager within our Retail Business Healthcare Division. This is a full-time role requiring a Bachelor's degree, postgraduate diploma, or professional certificate. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting revenue targets for both new and renewal business from intermediaries, as well as introducing the company's products to intermediaries and partners.

Key responsibilities include driving growth of the respective Business Unit by meeting revenue targets for both new and renewal Retail business (SME and Family/Individual healthcare products); introducing the company's products and services to new and existing intermediaries and recruiting new intermediaries as per set targets; establishing and maintaining strong business relationships with potential intermediaries and partners to promote business growth and meet revenue targets; identifying new opportunities for growth in SMEs and Individual/Family Healthcare Products to drive sales; coordinating training of intermediaries on products and processes for the Retail Business; coordinating marketing campaigns to prospective customers; ensuring achievement of customer expectations in liaison with relevant sections of the business; ensuring compliance with all insurance regulations and company policies and procedures while distributing products and services; ensuring timely payment of premiums in line with the company's credit policy; providing market feedback to Healthcare Operations Departments to ensure quality service delivery and profitable growth; conducting regular market analysis to identify changing trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth; and handling all queries and issues from intermediaries and clients regarding company products and processes. Additionally, the role involves any other duties assigned by management from time to time.

Candidates should possess at least 2 years' experience in insurance sales, especially in healthcare. A strong understanding of healthcare insurance products and sales is required, along with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships are essential. A high level of motivation and a results-oriented mindset, high level of integrity and ethical standards, and customer focus are also required.

Academic and professional qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Marketing, or a related field, a Certificate of Insurance (COP) or good progress in AIIK/ACII qualification, a Bachelor's Degree in a Business-related field, and a post graduate diploma (AIIK, ACII, or CIM).

We are hiring for the following locations: Coast Region, Western Region, and Meru Branch. The Western Region position is based in Nairobi, and the Meru Branch position is based in Meru.
