FRONT OFFICE PORTER Location: Mika Hotels, Lusaka Mika Convention Center A dynamic and enthusiastic professional is sought to join our team, bringing a polished and courteous demeanor to every interaction. Front Office Porter To become part of our Front Office team, the ideal candidate will deliver outstanding guest service by managing luggage, guiding visitors, and ensuring a seamless arrival and departure process. Key Responsibilities Upon guests’ arrival, receive them warmly and provide support with their luggage. Upon guests’ arrival, escort them courteously to their designated rooms while providing a detailed overview of the room’s features and the hotel’s available amenities. Provide luggage assistance to guests throughout the check-in and check-out processes. Deliver comprehensive guidance and details to guests regarding the hotel’s facilities and surrounding points of interest. Maintain cleanliness and organization within the lobby, entrance, and luggage storage areas. Collaborate effectively with the Front Office team to facilitate timely and efficient guest service. Provide support in the receipt and distribution of guest messages, parcels, and other deliveries. Respond to guest requests in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring interactions reflect a high standard of professionalism. Provide assistance to the Front Office team in executing any additional responsibilities as needed. Minimum Qualifications and Requirements Grade 12 School Certificate. A qualification such as a Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, or a closely related discipline would be highly beneficial. Preferred candidates will have prior experience in a hotel or hospitality setting. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are essential, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Capable of lifting and transporting luggage with physical fitness and strength. Dependable, trustworthy, and capable of performing tasks with minimal oversight. Demonstrated flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays, as required. Competencies Exceptional ability to engage effectively with others and convey information clearly and persuasively. Customer-focused attitude. Good problem-solving skills.
