Présentation du poste

At the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, we prioritize action over mere discussion. Join us in spearheading transformative initiatives as we collaborate with global leaders to convert visionary concepts into tangible outcomes for their communities. Our approach integrates strategic advisory, policy formulation, and implementation support, leveraging technology to amplify impact. Through knowledge-sharing and on-the-ground insights, we ensure sustainable progress, fostering more open, inclusive, and prosperous nations worldwide. With a diverse team of over 800 professionals across five continents and more than 40 countries, we bring together political strategists, policy experts, delivery specialists, technologists, and multilingual talent spanning 45 languages. Together, we address over 100 critical projects, confronting some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Diversity of thought and background fuels our mission, and we champion a culture that values and nurtures individual differences. Our commitment extends to unlocking potential—not only for the nations we serve but also for our team members. The Graduate Associate Internship, part of TBI Rwanda’s Young Professional Program, offers a structured pathway for exceptional recent graduates to embark on a career in government advisory and public sector delivery. Interns are fully integrated into project teams, contributing to real-time research, analysis, and implementation activities that directly support Rwanda’s key development priorities. This role prioritizes mindset and potential, seeking individuals who exhibit a strong desire to learn, adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ideal candidates embrace ambiguity, take initiative, and demonstrate rapid growth throughout the internship. While technical expertise is valued, it is secondary to intellectual curiosity, drive, and receptiveness to coaching. Graduate Associates benefit from structured mentorship, hands-on guidance, and direct exposure to high-impact government reform initiatives, laying the groundwork for their professional journey. This full-time position is open exclusively to Rwandan nationals, based in Kigali, with a one-year duration commencing shortly after the successful candidate is identified. Key Responsibilities: – Conduct both quantitative and qualitative research and analysis to inform project outputs and decision-making. – Gather, refine, and organize data from governmental and other sources, performing basic analytical tasks such as trend analysis, comparative assessments, and benchmarking. – Assist in developing monitoring tools, trackers, and models to track project indicators and progress. – Support the creation of high-caliber presentations, reports, briefing documents, and dashboards for government stakeholders

Expert Application Advice

Show Tony Blair Institute for Global Change you’ve already tackled les compétences demandées dans l'annonce—even in a small project or university assignment. Use a concrete example: “During my internship, I applied les compétences demandées dans l'annonce to solve X, achieving Y.” This proves you’re ready, not just hopeful.

Positioning — Your cover letter must answer one question: why YOU for THIS specific role right NOW? Avoid generic templates — one sentence on what you specifically bring beats three generic paragraphs.

First role — Lead with motivation and concrete academic/personal projects. Show thorough research on this organization — curious, well-informed junior candidates consistently outperform more experienced but less engaged profiles.

  • •Never pay any amount of money — for a file, a training, a uniform, or an interview. A real employer never asks the candidate to pay.
  • •Never send a photo of your ID card, passport, or banking details before you have physically verified the employer exists.
  • •Always meet in a public place, during the day — never an isolated address, a private home, or a location you cannot verify in advance.
  • •Tell a relative or friend exactly where you are going, with whom, and at what time — and share your live location if possible.
  • •Search the company name online before going: a real business has a trace (website, reviews, other employees, an official address).
  • •A salary that is far above the market rate for the position and the city is a red flag — be extra cautious.
