Uganda Airlines is hiring a Cabin Groomer responsible for cleaning aircraft cabins and ensuring all passenger areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and hygienic condition. The role involves cleaning aircraft interiors, handling waste disposal, replenishing onboard materials, safeguarding lost property, and supporting the efficient turnaround of aircraft while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Reporting to the Cabin Grooming Supervisor Key Duties and Responsibilities: Aircraft Cabin Cleaning Clean and maintain aircraft cabins to the required company standards. Wipe down cabin surfaces including seats, tray tables, armrests, overhead bins, and other passenger touch points. Clean seat pockets and ensure they are free of litter and debris. Vacuum cabin floors, aisles, and seating areas. Collect and dispose of waste from the aircraft cabin. Empty and clean waste receptacles. Thoroughly clean and sanitize aircraft lavatories. Apply approved air fresheners and cleaning products where required. Cabin Preparation Re-stock seat pockets with inflight magazines, safety cards, and promotional materials as required. Ensure aisles and passenger areas are clear and ready for boarding. Check cabin areas for cleanliness and presentation before aircraft departure. Support efficient aircraft turnaround activities in accordance with operational schedules. Safety and Security Maintain a safe working environment at all times. Adhere to all airside safety procedures and company policies. Safeguard and report any valuable items or personal belongings left behind by passengers. Handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with established procedures. Observe and comply with Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) awareness requirements. Customer Service Interact courteously and professionally with passengers, particularly during transit operations. Promote a positive image of Uganda Airlines through professional conduct and appearance. Support the delivery of an excellent customer experience through high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Personal Conduct and Hygiene Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming. Wear the prescribed uniform and personal protective equipment as required. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and accountability in the performance of duties. Additional Duties Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Cabin Grooming Supervisor from time to time. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or equivalent qualification. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in cleaning services, housekeeping, hospitality, aviation support services, or a related field. Knowledge of the proper use and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Basic knowledge of airside safety procedures. General awareness of Airside Driving requirements and Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) will be an added advantage. Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Competencies Good command of spoken and written English. Good work speed and ability to meet strict turnaround timelines. Strong attention to detail. Flexible and adaptable.
