We are seeking an Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist to join our team in Gatsibo, Rwanda. Our organization is committed to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development. Job Overview The Environmental Impact Assessment Specialist will be responsible for conducting environmental impact assessments for various projects in Rwanda. The successful candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and experience in conducting environmental impact assessments. The main objective of this position is to ensure that all projects undertaken by the organization are environmentally sustainable and comply with national and international environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities Conduct environmental impact assessments for various projects in Rwanda Identify potential environmental impacts and develop strategies to mitigate them Collaborate with project teams to ensure that environmental considerations are integrated into project planning and implementation Develop and implement environmental monitoring and management plans Provide training and capacity-building programs for project staff and local communities on environmental impact assessment and management Required Skills Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or a related field At least 5 years of experience in conducting environmental impact assessments Strong knowledge of national and international environmental regulations and policies Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Check out our other job vacancies in Eswatini.
