Expérience
The Economic Commission for Africa is seeking a consultant to support the implementation of its programme in West Africa. The role involves preparing assessments of regional and national value chains, collecting economic data, and providing recommendations to enhance economic diversification and resilience. The consultant will work under the supervision of the Team Leader and contribute to policy formulation on key issues such as debt management and the implementation of the AfCFTA. This consultancy is based in Niamey, Niger, and is expected to last for three months. Master’s degree in economics, statistics, international development, or relevant field Minimum 7 years of experience in sustainable development and economic research Expertise in macroeconomic modelling and policy formulation Experience in value chains analysis and economic diversification Fluency in English or French; knowledge of another UN language is desirable
