Present in Burkina Faso since 1970, SNV carries out activities throughout the country in its offices. Ouagadougou,Bobo - Dioulasso Banfora. SNV Burkina has a multidisciplinary team of more than 70 people, 95% of whom are national staff. In order to support its communication team, SNV in Burkina Faso wishes to receive applications from qualified and eager people to learn and understand the position of Communication Intern. The internship aims to provide a young professional with practical experience in institutional communication and communication for development within an international organization. The intern will develop his/her skills in strategic communication, advocacy, digital communication, content production, media relations, event organization and knowledge management, while contributing to the visibility of SNV projects. Under the supervision of the Communication Manager, the trainee will be in charge of the following tasks: Helping to promote and convey a positive image of SNV; Contribute to good visibility of projects and SNV through the tools, actions and events to be deployed; Support the communication team in implementing communication strategies for dependent projects; Support the communication team on project communication, including website management and social media; Ensure compliance with the graphic charter in the design of communication media; Contribute to the maintenance of the press relationship with the media and offer them press releases, files or newsletters; Collaborate with service providers and consultants hired by SNV for the effective achievement of results; Support the organization and holding of actions/events indicated in the project communication plan; Contribute to the development and maintenance of a press book for SNV; Contribute to the sharing of information through a general press review on SNV's business sectors and action environment; Contribute to the saving of memory and knowledge management of SNV through executed projects; Undertake all actions and activities that contribute to the achievement of SNV's objectives. Qualifications Training and Experience Minimum degree in Communication, Communication for Development, Journalism, Information Technology or any other communication related field. Have excellent written communication skills in French and a good level of work in English; Have a good knowledge of audio, video editing; Have knowledge of digital communication (Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.); Have good leadership skills/experiences, intercultural teamwork, proactive and result-oriented attitude; organizational rigor and ability to manage multiple priorities; initiative, enterprise and work autonomy; Have a good capacity for analysis and proposal in the design of tools, organization and holding of activities and events.
