About the Project: The Resilient Employment and Socio-Economic Development in Earthquake-Affected Regions of Türkiye (RE-SEED) Project, co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in cooperation with the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye In Adana, SARD implements the RE-SEED project to support sustainable livelihoods and economic recovery for both Syrian refugees and members of the host community. The intervention focuses on facilitating business formalization and legal registration for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), providing legal counseling, entrepreneurship training, employment support services, and cash grants for eligible businesses. Through these activities, the project aims to strengthen local businesses, promote decent employment, and foster an inclusive and resilient local economy, with particular attention to women, youth, and persons with disabilities.

Job Summary: SARD is seeking a committed Employment Assistant to support the implementation of employment and business development activities under the RE-SEED project in Adana. The Employment Assistant will contribute to outreach and beneficiary registration, employment services and job matching, beneficiary follow-up, and the implementation of entrepreneurship and business support activities. The role will also support MSMEs throughout the legal registration and licensing process and assist in the implementation of cash grant activities. The position will work closely with beneficiaries, employers, municipalities, chambers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the effective, inclusive, and timely implementation of project activities. Roles and Responsibilities:

    1. Support the implementation of employment-related and field activities under the project.
    1. Coordinate with companies and beneficiaries regarding interviews, attendance, and recruitment follow-up.
    1. Support outreach activities and conduct field visits to identify and engage MSME owners and job seekers.
    1. Assist in the implementation of legal awareness sessions, entrepreneurship trainings, and other project activities.
    1. Support beneficiaries during legal registration and licensing processes by providing basic guidance and follow-up.
    1. Coordinate with municipalities, chambers of commerce, and legal institutions when needed.
    1. Maintain beneficiary records, support data entry, and contribute to reporting and documentation activities.
    1. Support interview scheduling, recruitment follow-up, and employment documentation processes.
    1. Promote the inclusion and participation of women entrepreneurs and persons with disabilities across all project activities.
    1. Support the project team in the implementation of other project activities when required.

Required Skills and Experience:

Expérience

    1. Minimum 2 years of experience working with NGOs or INGOs, preferably in employment, field implementation, livelihoods, or MSME-related programs.
    1. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate activities and engage with diverse groups.
    1. Good report writing and documentation skills.
    1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and use of digital tools.
    1. Fluency in Turkish and Arabic is essential. Good command of English is an asset Ability to work in a team and in multicultural environments.
