Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geospatial Intelligence Analyst to join our Advanced Intelligence Solutions team in Gicumbi. This role is central to our mission of providing actionable intelligence through the analysis of satellite imagery, aerial photography, sensor data, and other geospatial information. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing, analyzing, and interpreting complex geospatial data to produce intelligence products that support defense, security, and infrastructure planning decisions. The Geospatial Intelligence Analyst will utilize sophisticated software tools and analytical methodologies to identify patterns, assess threats, monitor changes, and create detailed reports and visualizations. Key Responsibilities Process and analyze multi-source geospatial data, including satellite imagery, LiDAR, UAV/drone data, and geographic information systems (GIS) data. Produce detailed geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) reports, maps, and visualizations to support decision-making for defense and security operations. Develop and implement analytical methodologies for feature extraction, change detection, pattern analysis, and predictive modeling. Collaborate with intelligence community partners and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver tailored geospatial products. Maintain and enhance geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security. Utilize advanced software tools such as ArcGIS, ERDAS IMAGINE, SOCET GXP, and Python scripting for automation and analysis. Conduct quality control and validation of geospatial data and derived intelligence products. Stay current with emerging technologies, sensor platforms, and analytical techniques in the geospatial intelligence domain. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and support staff. Participate in the development of new geospatial analysis workflows and capability enhancements. Required Skills Expert proficiency in geospatial software (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ENVI) and remote sensing analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex spatial data. Proficiency in programming/scripting for geospatial analysis (Python, R, SQL). Excellent written and verbal communication skills for producing clear, concise intelligence reports. Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required. Strong understanding of photogrammetry, cartography, and spatial statistics. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work. Knowledge of defense, security, or critical infrastructure domains is highly desirable. Education A Master’s degree in Geospatial Sciences, Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Geomatics, or a closely related technical field is required. A PhD is considered a strong asset. Professional certifications such as GISP (GIS Professional) or ASPRS certification are highly advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate a strong academic background in spatial analysis, image processing, and data science. Experience A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in geospatial intelligence, remote sensing analysis, or a related field is required. Experience must include hands-on work with satellite imagery analysis, GIS, and intelligence production in a defense, government, or commercial security context. Proven experience with intelligence community standards and procedures is essential. Prior experience working in or on projects related to Africa or emerging markets is a significant plus.
