The Electricity Access Scale-Up Project (EAST) is designed to expand and enhance access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity, particularly in underserved and remote communities. This initiative aims to bridge the energy gap by deploying innovative solutions, upgrading existing infrastructure, and fostering partnerships with local stakeholders. It seeks to improve energy security, drive economic growth, and promote social development through increased electrification. The project operates under a multi-year framework, collaborating closely with governments, utilities, and development partners to achieve measurable impact. Key responsibilities include coordinating stakeholder engagement, overseeing technical implementation, ensuring compliance with environmental and social safeguards, and monitoring progress against set targets to maximize efficiency and sustainability. The financial intermediation component facilitates the efficient flow of funds between savers and borrowers, acting as a critical bridge in the financial ecosystem. It encompasses a range of institutions, including banks, credit unions, insurance companies, and investment firms, each playing a distinct role in channeling capital to productive uses. Key responsibilities involve assessing creditworthiness, managing risk exposure, and ensuring regulatory compliance while optimizing liquidity and interest rate differentials. This component requires professionals with strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial modeling, and a deep understanding of market dynamics to navigate evolving economic conditions. We are pleased to announce an extension to the bid submission deadline. This adjustment allows additional time for prospective bidders to prepare and submit their proposals. All other terms, conditions, and requirements outlined in the original solicitation remain unchanged. Interested parties are encouraged to review the updated timeline and adhere to the new submission guidelines. The procurement reference number for this opportunity is UE CCC-EASP/ICONS/2025-26/00021. We wish to announce the invitation for bids pertaining to the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of a comprehensive Management Information System for the Uganda Electricity Consumers’ Consultative Committee (UE CCC), as advertised in the New Vision newspaper on June 11, 2026. All remaining requirements, eligibility criteria, assessment guidelines, and procedural instructions outlined in the original invitation for bids shall remain in full force and effect without modification. Prospective vendors are strongly encouraged to submit their proposals in strict adherence to the specifications outlined in the original notice. Submissions must be sent to the Managing Director at the Uganda Energy Credit Capitalization Company (UE CCC), located at Amber House, Plot 29/33 Kampala Road, 3rd Floor, Block E, P. O. Box 29725, Kampala.
