Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Accountant – Staff Debtors and Insurance, Salary Grade ZRA06 (1 position), Finance and Treasury Function. Purpose Reporting to the Accountant – Staff Debtors and Insurance, the job holder will handle insurance business for the Authority, manage insurance risks, process staff payments, reconcile staff debtors and process medical bills through Human Resource. Key Duties – Assess and budget risk exposure for the year. – Align ZRA insurance policy with current market trends. – Ensure assets and insurable liabilities are adequately covered. – Carry out claims inspections and report incidents or accidents. – Follow up pending claims and submit travel insurance declarations. – Process insurance premium payments and staff payments. – Reconcile staff medical accounts and submit recoveries to payroll. – Process medical payments to suppliers and reconcile supplier accounts. – Prepare monthly and ad-hoc management reports. Minimum Requirements – Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent. – Degree in Accounting and Finance or equivalent professional qualification such as CA Zambia, ACCA or CIMA. – Certificate in Insurance. – Minimum two years post-qualifying experience. – Membership of the Insurance Institute of Zambia or ZICA.
