KCA University (KCAU), a private, non-profit institution founded in July 1989 as Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), is located on Thika Road in Ruaraka, Nairobi, Kenya. The institution is recruiting for the following positions:
Financial Analyst

Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Modelling & Enrollment Analytics: Build, maintain, and update predictive financial models to forecast tuition revenue. Analyse the financial impact of national student funding shifts. Collaborate with the Admissions and Institutional Research teams to quantify the financial return on recruitment investments.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Variance Analysis: Assist in the preparation, consolidation, and review of the University’s annual operating and capital budgets. Perform monthly and quarterly financial variance analysis. Identify structural revenue risks and cost-saving opportunities across academic and administrative units.
Strategic Financial Aid & Scholarships Calibration: Conduct affordability risk assessments. Develop mathematical models to calibrate internal scholarships and financial aid distribution. Assess the affordability thresholds of various student income categories to recommend optimal, sustainable tuition pricing structures for new and existing academic programmes.
Academic Portfolio & Market Costing: Perform cost-benefit analyses on the University’s academic portfolio to assess financial viability and sustainability. Provide data-driven financial recommendations for launching new academic programmes or restructuring existing curricula.
Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare comprehensive financial dashboards, executive summaries, and strategic concept papers. Synthesise complex financial datasets into clear, non-technical presentations to guide decision-making. Ensure all financial analysis and data collection comply with institutional data governance policies and national data protection regulations. Any other duty assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

** Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business, or related area from an accredited/recognised University. Certified Public Accountant of Kenya and a Member of ICPAK in good standing. Certified Investment and Financial Analyst (CIFA). At least 4 years of experience in financial data analytics.
Management Accountant- Revenue Assurance & Billing Control

Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Assurance: Conduct comprehensive revenue assurance reviews across all revenue streams. Reconcile billed revenue against actual collections. Identify and investigate revenue leakages. Perform periodic audits of billing systems. Monitor revenue recognition compliance. Prepare detailed revenue assurance reports for management. Analyse revenue trends and anomalies.
Billing Management: Ensure accurate and timely billing. Validate student and client billing records. Monitor billing cycles and ensure completeness. Review billing adjustments, waivers, and corrections. Ensure alignment between billing systems and approved fee structures. Investigate billing errors and implement corrective measures.
Fee Structure Administration: Upload and maintain approved fee structures in ERP systems. Validate the accuracy of fee schedules before activation. Test billing outputs after fee updates. Maintain historical fee structure records. Ensure compliance with approved pricing policies.
Debtor & Revenue Monitoring: Monitor outstanding receivables and ageing analysis. Track payment patterns and collection efficiency. Support debt recovery analysis. Identify high-risk accounts and revenue gaps. Prepare revenue forecasts and collection projections.
Revenue Optimisation & Controls: Identify opportunities to reduce revenue leakage. Support automation of billing and revenue systems. Conduct program-level revenue performance analysis. Strengthen internal controls around revenue processes.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited/recognised University. CPA(K) or ACCA qualification. At least four (4) years’ relevant work experience in revenue assurance, auditing, or billing systems in a University or comparable Institution. Member of ICPAK and in good standing. Experience in ERP billing systems will be an added advantage.
