This combined position is tailored for an educator with robust laboratory expertise who is eager to nurture students’ passion for science while ensuring the secure and efficient management of laboratory resources. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality science instruction and oversee laboratory operations, including designing, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics (based on specialization). Responsibilities also involve developing structured schemes of work, lesson plans, and teaching materials in alignment with the IGCSE curriculum, preparing students for internal and external assessments, and conducting practical experiments to deepen understanding. Additionally, the role includes maintaining laboratory equipment, chemicals, and supplies, enforcing safety protocols, and assisting teachers and students during hands-on sessions. The position further requires meticulous record-keeping of inventory, equipment, and consumables, as well as collaboration with colleagues to elevate teaching standards and curriculum delivery. The successful applicant will integrate Christian values into their teaching and exemplify exemplary conduct both inside and outside the classroom, fully upholding the academy’s vision, mission, and principles. Applicants must fulfill the following criteria: be between 30 and 45 years of age, possess a mature Christian faith with a strong relationship with Jesus Christ, and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a specialization in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related science field. Those applying exclusively for the Laboratory Technician role must have at least a Diploma in Laboratory Technology. A minimum of three years of experience in science teaching and/or laboratory management within a secondary school or comparable educational environment is essential. Candidates should demonstrate emotional maturity, compassion, discipline, and a genuine commitment to serving young people, along with strong moral standards and effective disciplinary skills. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and leadership abilities are required, along with a solid understanding of child development, laboratory safety, and basic crisis management.
