We seek a proactive and enthusiastic individual to fill the Warehouse Supervisor role at one of our Tanzanian customer sites, focusing on driving exceptional customer engagement and delivering a superior experience. The ideal candidate will oversee on-site operational activities, including coordinating multiple teams and staff within our Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) framework. The position will report directly to the Warehouse Operations Manager and will be stationed at one of our client sites located in Tanzania. Purpose of the role: Responsible for overseeing the overall operations and seamless execution of warehouse functions and staff performance, ensuring accurate recording and upkeep of inventory levels. Provides guidance on optimizing inbound logistics flow and maximizing the efficiency of goods sales. Executes additional assigned duties to drive ongoing enhancements and adherence to Warehouse Management standards. The incumbent will oversee the seamless and efficient functioning of the Sandi Parts and Logistics operations at the designated location, with a focus on robust logistics management, strong internal and external customer relations, and the precise administration of parts and consumables. This role involves overseeing receiving, issuing, and logistical processes while ensuring the maintenance of optimal warehouse conditions. The VMI Warehouse Supervisor will undertake stock planning responsibilities by fostering proactive customer relationships, thereby enhancing the customer’s operational efficiency, dependability, and profitability. This role involves delivering value-added parts and service solutions while maximizing business opportunities within the parts and services sector whenever feasible. The job responsibilities: Oversee periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory of all materials and supplies within the store’s facilities, and prepare detailed reports on findings. Verify that the appropriate amounts of spare parts and tools are accurately delivered and logged into the warehouse inventory.
Perform comprehensive audits to verify that all received goods are physically inspected for any signs of damage, discrepancies in item quantity, or instances of under- or over-shipments. Verify that all received goods are accurately logged into the inventory system and assigned to their designated storage locations. Ensure that consumable items are properly placed in designated bin locations to maintain organized inventory. Oversees the receipt, storage, and shipment of materials while ensuring all related reporting is completed in accordance with established procedures. Consistently enhance customer productivity, reliability, and profitability by ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of products and parts from the warehouse. Ensures seamless collaboration with key stakeholders to address and implement enhancements in inventory control processes. Supervise stock movements, including the receiving, dispatching, and returns processes, on a regular basis. Enhance customer satisfaction and ensure higher product availability by optimizing the fill rate of the parts standard assortment within the designated stockroom. The incumbent will liaise with the Warehouse Operations Manager to implement and oversee enhancements in inventory control processes at VMI. Consistently uphold and comply with all organizational policies and procedures, particularly those pertaining to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality Management systems. Qualifications & Experience Requirements A recognized institution must confer a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or an equivalent field. Requires a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, including Aurora, is essential. Skilled in addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints effectively to ensure high levels of satisfaction. Professional experience or familiarity within the mining sector and its associated industries will be considered an asset. Other Requirements & Competencies
