The Chikankata D387 32KM Road Construction Project involves the development of a 32-kilometer stretch of road as part of the Chikankata D387 initiative. This project encompasses comprehensive construction activities, including grading, paving, drainage installation, and road surfacing, to ensure a durable and functional infrastructure. Additionally, the project may incorporate safety measures, environmental safeguards, and community engagement efforts to align with regulatory standards and local needs. Position Requirements

Earthwork Foreman (2 Positions) A minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a supervisory capacity within the road construction sector is required. Proficiency in road construction processes, site supervision, and adherence to safety protocols is required. Proficient in interpreting fundamental construction blueprints and adept at managing and coordinating local labor teams.

Surveyor (2 Positions) A qualification in the form of a Diploma or Certificate, specifically in surveying, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field, is required. Requires a minimum of three years of hands-on experience in the field of road surveying. Skilled in utilizing Total Stations, Levels, GPS devices, and various other surveying instruments to ensure accurate data collection and measurements. Proficient in establishing project layouts, performing survey calculations, maintaining accurate data records, and adhering to road surveying standards.

Laboratory Technician (1 Position) Earned diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering, Construction Materials Testing, or a comparable discipline. A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in construction materials testing is required. Proficient in performing laboratory tests on soil, aggregates, cement, concrete, and other road construction materials. Skilled in operating laboratory equipment, maintaining accurate test records, and preparing detailed reports.

We seek candidates with excellent interpersonal abilities, a strong sense of accountability, meticulous attention to detail, and a readiness to perform duties in outdoor environments.

Grader Operator (2 Positions) Holding a valid Grader Operator Certificate or License is required. At least three years of hands-on experience operating graders in road construction initiatives is required. Proficient in preparing road subgrades and leveling pavement to ensure a stable and even foundation. Capable of performing regular equipment maintenance tasks and adhering to all site-specific safety protocols.

Dozer Operator (1 Position) Valid Dozer Operator Licence. Experienced candidates must possess a minimum of three years in the field of earth moving and site clearing operations. Capable of performing regular equipment maintenance while adhering to safety protocols in outdoor construction settings.

Mechanic (2 Positions) A degree or certification in the maintenance of heavy equipment or engineering machinery is required. With at least four years of hands-on experience in the upkeep and repair of road construction machinery—such as graders, dozers, and transport vehicles—you will bring valuable expertise to this role. Mechanical fault diagnosis, preventive maintenance execution, and efficient spare parts replacement are essential competencies for this role.
