About the Project
China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) is currently executing the TAMARA Rehabilitation Project in Mpika, Zambia. We are in search of a skilled, driven, and seasoned Human Resource Officer to bolster our project team, ensuring the proficient administration of human resources within a fast-paced construction setting.
Key Responsibilities
Handle the complete recruitment lifecycle, including talent acquisition, selection processes, onboarding procedures, and employee induction, for project-based staff.
Maintain precise employee documentation and uphold compliance with organizational policies as well as Zambian labor regulations.
Review and manage employment contracts, staff transfers, and employee records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Oversee employee attendance tracking, manage leave administration, and administer disciplinary procedures.
Facilitate the payroll preparation process through the meticulous maintenance of precise HR records and comprehensive timesheets.
Deliver leadership in staff training programs, oversee performance management systems, and champion initiatives focused on employee development.
Foster constructive employee relations and address workplace grievances with professionalism and discretion.
Ensure full adherence to occupational health and safety regulations within human resource management frameworks.
Compile HR reports and oversee the management of confidential personnel records.
Facilitate communication and collaboration with government entities and pertinent stakeholders regarding labor and employment affairs as necessary.Qualifications and Experience
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.
Active membership in the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) is required.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience. We seek candidates with a strong background in human resources, ideally within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure industries.
Proficient understanding of the Zambian Employment Code Act and relevant labor legislation is essential.
A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required.
Demonstrates exceptional proficiency in verbal and written communication, fosters collaborative relationships through strong interpersonal abilities, and maintains meticulous organizational control over tasks and priorities.
Capable of functioning autonomously and thriving in high-pressure scenarios within dynamic project settings.
Demonstrates a high degree of professional integrity and the capability to handle sensitive information with absolute discretion.
