Description: Background The PCC study team is actively conducting two significant research initiatives: the Person-Centered Approaches to address Viremia: Connection, Rapport and Engagement (Score) study, a mixed-method, parallel cluster randomized trial, and the Sequential Strategies to Reach and Reengage Individuals after lapses from HIV Care in Zambia (Bella Easy) Study, a randomized controlled trial. Additionally, the team is overseeing the Click Impact Fellowship. The Score study seeks to implement a stakeholder engagement process to design, evaluate, and refine a customized yet scalable and sustainable person-centered intervention package aimed at managing viremia in underserved populations across Zambia. This initiative is currently being executed in 24 healthcare facilities located in the Lusaka and Central provinces. The Bella Easy study seeks to evaluate the relative efficacy of six adaptive, sequential strategies for reengaging individuals living with HIV (PLWH) who have experienced lapses in treatment, in comparison to the standard care model. Its primary objective is to facilitate prompt reentry into care and ensure sustained long-term engagement within public ART clinics in Zambia. The study will be conducted in twelve (12) selected clinics located in Lusaka province. The Click Impact Fellowship is a two-year program designed to provide comprehensive support to emerging leaders committed to driving meaningful change. Graduate students enrolled in the Master’s program at the UNA School of Public Health are required to undertake a research practicum as part of their academic curriculum. Job Summary: Reporting directly to the Senior Research Manager, the Research Data Analyst will facilitate the organization’s research objectives by curating, processing, and interpreting a variety of data sources to guide strategic decisions and enhance manuscript quality. Core duties involve executing thorough data inquiries and delivering specialized technical support to the research cohort. Additionally, the incumbent will foster team capabilities by delivering data literacy training and designing robust analytical frameworks. The role will further involve assessing HIV prevention and treatment initiatives through Smart Care and other national data platforms, with a specific focus on constructing causal inference models to shape evidence-based policy recommendations. This position entails managing data access, delivering analytical assistance, designing bespoke data tools, and promoting cross-functional collaboration between researchers and analysts. Main Duties Gather the specified data to assist in PCC projects, ensuring it is organized and formatted according to the research teams’ requirements prior to delivery. Conduct comprehensive analyses, spanning from basic data aggregation to advanced, intricate evaluations. statistical We transform raw data into actionable insights through advanced modeling techniques and dynamic data visualization strategies, leveraging diverse data sources to uncover meaningful patterns and trends. Conduct comprehensive evaluations to verify the precision and comprehensiveness of the data. Develop additional data sets derived from existing databases to facilitate both new and existing research initiatives. Under the guidance of Principal Investigators, perform statistical analyses and deliver findings to the research team and collaborating partners. Evaluate and clarify analytic inquiries alongside the study team to ensure mutual comprehension and alignment with project objectives. Generate meticulously crafted tables and comprehensive data visualizations, ensuring they meet stringent publication standards. Independently analyze data to detect anomalies, devise innovative data visualizations, and propose strategic next steps. Qualifications Hold an advanced degree, specifically a Master’s, in Public Health, Epidemiology, Data Science, Biostatistics, or an analogous discipline. Proven expertise in epidemiology and quantitative analytical techniques through practical training and hands-on experience. Proficiency in sophisticated regression techniques and causal inference methodologies, including differences-in-differences, regression discontinuity, and propensity score methods, is required. Familiarity with addressing missing data and implementing suitable weighting or alternative techniques in observational datasets is required. Proficiency in survival analysis and longitudinal modeling techniques, including multilevel or hierarchical modeling approaches, is required. Proficient in managing and analyzing extensive, interconnected datasets as well as operating on remote servers with ease. Required expertise in R or State, encompassing data management, modeling, and visualization. Proficient in executing fuzzy matching techniques and establishing connections between intricate datasets through the use of approximate identifiers is essential. Highly driven and independent, possessing strong organizational abilities and exceptional communication skills.
