Position Overview The Field Technician is accountable for overseeing technical operations and resolving technical issues within the designated cohort. This position primarily entails ensuring the reliability of technical operations at regional hubs, with a key focus on maintaining optimal hub uptime. Accountabilities The Field Technician will perform the following primary duties and responsibilities: Ensure energy systems operate at peak efficiency to maintain a cluster energy uptime of at least 99.9%, meticulously monitoring performance and proactively scheduling all required interventions to sustain uninterrupted operations.
• Maintain a 98% pack health rate by overseeing troubleshooting and repair processes, ensuring that no more than 2% of packs are defective at any time. Responsibilities The Field Technician will be responsible for executing a range of duties, including [list of duties]. Accurate collection and meticulous logging of data are essential responsibilities of this position. Monitor Swap and PV across all regional hubs, promptly flagging any locations exceeding 80% for escalation to ensure timely intervention and resolution. Complete hub commissioning and testing procedures, ensuring all systems meet specifications prior to final sign-off for hub deployment. Establish and configure hub phones along with their corresponding hub controllers to ensure seamless connectivity and operational functionality. Ensure the dashboard contains precise and up-to-date hub data records at all times. Accurately document, address, maintain, and prioritize technical issues in GitLab by filing, responding to, updating, and escalating them as needed. Remotely diagnose and resolve performance-related issues affecting hub operations with efficiency and precision. Responsibilities include traveling to designated hubs to address and resolve technical issues that necessitate hands-on troubleshooting or on-site repairs.
• Perform routine hub energy system maintenance.
• Ensure connectivity at hubs.
• Monitor and review technical reports.

Test, troubleshoot, and repair defective products. Maintain meticulous records of hub equipment and product component inventory, noting any defects encountered. Facilitate clear and concise communication of technical challenges to the Regional Coordinator for timely resolution. To remain current with the responsibilities and technologies pertinent to the Field Technician role, regularly review and apply the insights from the Jazz Tech Handbook. Evaluate and validate new products and firmware as required to ensure they meet quality standards and function as intended. Electrical Repair Qualifications and Requirements Prospective candidates must fulfill the outlined qualifications and prerequisites. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required. Professional experience in diagnosing, repairing, and servicing electronic devices or systems is strongly preferred. Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing diagnostic software, tools, and data analysis applications to facilitate efficient system monitoring and troubleshooting. Demonstrates proficiency in diagnosing technical challenges, pinpointing underlying issues, and executing robust corrective measures.
