Location: Mtwara Plant Tanzania, Mtwara Plant Tanzania Company: Dangote Industries Limited Job Summary Installation, testing, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment are performed with the highest standards of quality and safety, alongside effective troubleshooting to resolve any operational issues. Ensures the seamless operation of the designated area to maximize equipment availability and reliability. Oversee the upkeep of designated facilities to ensure uninterrupted plant functionality. Provides adequate maintenance support to reduce downtime Implements preventive maintenance schedule. Duties and Responsibilities Daily, you will oversee the assignment of tasks and provide technical direction to your team members. Ensures strict adherence to all safety protocols and regulations within the designated work area. Responsible for housekeeping of his/her work area. Performs routine maintenance and servicing on Circuit Breakers, Transformers, Motor Control Centers (MCC), Power Control Centers (PCC), Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) switchboards, Battery Chargers, Plant Lighting and Earthing Systems, High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) motors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), HT and LT Cables, and their terminations, strictly adhering to the established preventive maintenance schedule. Delivers work orders punctually, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols. Compiles diverse reports and preserves essential documentation, including the Power report, Maintenance checklist, daily job report, and equipment maintenance history. Imparts training to subordinates. Updates maintenance data into SAP The Store issues materials as required and notifies senior personnel in advance regarding spare part needs. Compiles public relations materials, notifications, and work orders within the SAP system. Execute any additional duties as directed by the Senior Engineer, Head of Section, or Head of Department. Professional Qualification, Experience and Competence Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering A minimum of four years of professional experience in a relevant work environment is required. Professional experience and expertise in Low, Medium, and High Voltage systems, including MCC/PCC/MV & LV switchgear, HT/LT motors, transformers, and both indoor and outdoor substation equipment. Proficient in the operation and maintenance of generators, cables and their terminations, plant lighting and earthing systems, as well as electrical measuring and testing instruments. Strong ability to interpret electrical and electronic diagrams, with foundational computer skills and knowledge of battery chargers. Understanding of engineering drawing and principles.
