WHO WE ARE The East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) project represents a significant midstream infrastructure initiative spanning Uganda and Tanzania, featuring a nearshore marine storage and export terminal (PST). Upon completion, the EACOP Company will oversee operations of the East African Crude Oil Pipeline—a 1,443-kilometer, thermally insulated pipeline designed for crude oil export. This pipeline will transport oil from Caballé-Hoima in Uganda to the Chongeleani Peninsula near Tango Port in Tanzania, facilitating crude oil export to global markets. JOB SUMMARY The Transportation Officer oversees the commercial and operational facets of crude oil transportation, ensuring seamless coordination of upstream production forecasts, tariff invoicing, commercial agreements, and reporting. This position collaborates extensively with operations, finance, upstream shippers, and key stakeholders to maintain precise forecasting, punctual invoicing, adherence to transportation agreements, and optimal management of shared infrastructure. Profil recherché

• Provide assistance with contract close-out processes and facilitate the allocation of costs for shared facilities. Ensure the precision and reliability of production forecasts as well as operational records. Ensure strict adherence to EACOP’s HSE standards and operational protocols at all times to maintain operational integrity and safety. Applicants must meet the following academic qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, while a Master’s degree or higher is strongly preferred. Additionally, candidates should possess specialized certifications or training pertinent to the role, if applicable. Relevant professional experience may also be considered in lieu of formal education under certain circumstances. A minimum of a Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Commercial & Business is required. Minimum 4 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years dedicated to commercial operations and negotiation roles. Seeking candidates with a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in oil and gas contracts, business development, trading operations, production-operations, as well as material balance and accounting. Proficiency in financial dealings constitutes a favorable qualification. We seek a candidate with expertise in technical competencies including proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, as well as strong knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile or DevOps. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is essential. Familiarity with database management systems, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines is required.
