Position: TLB Operator (Dump Truck Driver) (2 positions)

Nature of Contract: One-year fixed-term
Duty Station: Rumphi
Reporting to: Earthworks Foreman/Site Manager
Department: Plant & Machine/Operations
Job Summary: The role involves safely and efficiently operating a TLB truck to transport materials such as sand, quarry, soil, and debris while strictly adhering to road safety regulations and company protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate tipper trucks for the delivery and collection of construction materials.
Transport materials securely to prevent spillage or damage.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checks on brakes, tyres, oil, lights, and fuel levels.
Coordinate with site personnel to load and offload materials efficiently.
Maintain precise records of deliveries, fuel consumption, and mileage.
Comply with all traffic laws and occupational health and safety standards.
Report accidents, breakdowns, and mechanical faults immediately.
Ensure the vehicle remains clean and receives regular servicing.
Follow directives from supervisors and dispatch teams.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
Malawi School Certificate of Education or equivalent qualification.
Valid Malawian driver’s licence in the heavy-duty category (Class C or G).
Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience operating tipper trucks or heavy vehicles.
Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
