Under the supervision of the Earthworks Foreman or Site Manager within the Plant & Machine/Operations Department, the role involves operating a tipper truck to transport construction materials such as sand, quarry soil, and debris safely and efficiently while adhering to road safety regulations and company protocols. Responsibilities include conducting thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, loading and unloading materials in coordination with site personnel, maintaining precise records of deliveries, fuel consumption, and mileage, and ensuring strict compliance with traffic laws and occupational health and safety standards. The role also requires prompt reporting of accidents, breakdowns, and mechanical faults, as well as regular vehicle cleaning and servicing.
Applicants must possess a Malawi School Certificate of Education or equivalent qualification, a valid Malawian driver’s licence in the appropriate heavy-duty category (Class C or G), and at least two to five years of documented experience operating tipper trucks or heavy vehicles. A clean driving record, free from serious traffic violations, is essential.
