Department: Plant & Machine/Operations
Job Summary: Operate a TLB (tractor loader backhoe) truck to transport materials such as sand, quarry soil, and debris efficiently while ensuring full compliance with road safety regulations and company protocols. The role requires meticulous attention to vehicle maintenance, operational safety, and adherence to logistical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive and operate a tipper truck for the delivery and collection of construction materials.
Transport materials securely to prevent spillage or damage.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including brakes, tyres, oil levels, lights, and fuel.
Coordinate loading and offloading activities with site personnel.
Maintain precise records of deliveries, fuel consumption, and mileage.
Comply with all traffic laws and occupational health and safety standards.
Report accidents, breakdowns, and mechanical faults immediately.
Ensure the vehicle remains clean and undergoes regular servicing.
Follow directives from supervisors and dispatch teams.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Malawi School Certificate of Education or equivalent qualification.
Valid Malawian driver’s licence (Class C or G, heavy-duty category).
Minimum of 2–5 years of proven experience operating a tipper truck or other heavy vehicles.
Impeccable driving record with no major traffic violations.
