This position blends the roles of video editor and videographer, tasked with producing professional-grade videos for One Acre Fund’s training initiatives, marketing efforts, fundraising campaigns, and brand communications. The role centers on driving impact for farmers—particularly youth and women—through compelling storytelling, social behavior change narratives, and marketing expertise. Your primary objective will be to capture authentic farmer stories that illustrate the profound, multi-generational effects of One Acre Fund’s work. Responsibilities Film Production – Professional Quality, On-Brand, Storytelling – Capture high-quality, emotionally resonant video and audio using DSLR and smartphone cameras. – Coordinate and direct video shoots across all operational countries in collaboration with local teams. Video Editing – Professional Quality, On-Brand, Storytelling – Develop storyboards and scripts aligned with project briefs post-shoot. – Create subtitles in seven or more languages. – Edit videos for multiple formats and purposes. – Design bespoke, on-brand motion graphics. Professional Interviewing & Storytelling – Identify and refine strong field stories based on project requirements. – Conduct interviews that elicit compelling, unique, and emotive responses to advance narrative arcs. – Analyze farmer reports to conceptualize potential story arcs and structure interviews accordingly. Video Systems Ownership – Occasionally manage freelancers and/or host donor-selected video crews during shoots. – Maintain and organize One Acre Fund’s video archive and footage storage systems. – Develop and oversee the organization’s video production schedule, ensuring stakeholders are informed of upcoming projects.
