Job brief A reputable company in Kumasi that sells home appliances and general goods is seeking an experienced Account Officer to join its team. The Account Officer plays a key role in supporting the overall financial health of the organization by preparing financial reports, monitoring budgets, and assisting with audits. Responsibilities Record daily financial transactions such as receipts, invoices, and payments. Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate financial data. Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts on a regular basis. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in financial records. Ensure timely payment of statutory and other expenses. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary financial documents and explanations. Provide support during audits, tax filing, and year-end closing activities. Safeguard sensitive financial information and ensure confidentiality. Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven work experience as an Account Officer or similar role. Proficiency in accounting software (Tally).
