Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled GIS Geologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting Datamine software, particularly Discover, and providing training and support to clients. Additionally, this role involves creating high-quality geological maps and plans for field teams to enhance project deliverables and reports. Key Responsibilities: 1. Promotion and Support of Datamine Software Actively promote Datamine software, with a primary focus on Discover. Conduct product demonstrations, webinars, and presentations to potential clients. Provide training sessions and ongoing support to clients for effective use of Discover software. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving client issues with Datamine products. 2. Project Support and Collaboration Work closely with field teams to understand their mapping and data visualization needs. Create high-quality geological maps, cross-sections, and other visualizations for use in reports and field operations. Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and other stakeholders on various projects. Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, ensuring data accuracy and clear presentation. Integrate and analyse data from various sources (e.g., geophysical surveys, sampling, and drilling). 3. Geospatial Data Management and Analysis Manage and maintain geological and geospatial databases. Perform spatial analysis to support exploration and development activities. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate and efficient data integration. 4. Client Engagement and Training Develop and deliver training materials, including user guides and tutorials for Discover software. Provide exceptional client service by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions. Collect client feedback to assist in product development and improvement. 5. Continual Professional Development Stay updated on advancements in GIS, geological software, and mapping technologies. Participate in industry workshops, seminars, and conferences. Explore innovative applications of Datamine software to improve workflows and efficiency. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geosciences, GIS, or a related field. Proficiency in Datamine Discover software and other GIS tools. Experience in geological mapping, data visualization, and geospatial analysis. Strong technical and analytical skills with an eye for detail. Excellent communication and presentation abilities for client engagement and training. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. Willingness to travel for client training, fieldwork, and industry events. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with other Datamine products and related geological software. Experience in database management and working with large datasets. Understanding of exploration and mining workflows.
