Entry Level Accountant
Axel Uganda Limited is recruiting an entry-level accountant to join its team in Kampala. This full-time position is based in the banking, financial, and insurance sector. The offered salary is between 300,000 and 500,000 UGX.
Job Context
You will contribute to maintaining the company's financial health, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting business growth by managing accounting records, preparing financial statements, and analyzing data.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping: recording daily transactions and verifying the accuracy of balance sheets and income statements. Reconciliation: cross-checking internal records with bank statements and supplier invoices to resolve discrepancies. Accounts receivable and payable: managing incoming and outgoing cash flows to maintain healthy cash flow. Tax preparation: calculating, preparing, and filing corporate or individual tax returns. Regulatory compliance: ensuring all financial reports adhere to standard accounting principles (such as GAAP or IFRS) and applicable laws. Audit support: organizing documents for internal and external audits and responding to requests.
Desired Profile
Minimum required qualification: Diploma (Bac+2 level). Experience: Entry-level accepted, less than one year of experience. Language: English required. Hours: Full-time, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
