As the Child Protection Officer reporting to the Chief, Child Protection, you will provide professional technical, operational, and administrative support throughout the programming process for child protection programmes/projects within the Country Programme, from development planning through to the delivery of results. You will prepare, coordinate, manage, and implement a range of technical and administrative programme activities to support programme development, implementation, progress monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

Education: A university degree in one of the following fields is required: international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, or another relevant social science field.

Expérience

A minimum of two years of professional experience in social development planning and management in child protection related areas is required.

Demonstrated skills in development planning, situation analysis, results-based management, stakeholder engagement, partnership building, or programme implementation. Language Requirements: Knowledge of French language at a Proficient/Fluent level is required. Desirables: Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, English, Russian or Spanish) is an asset. Relevant experience in programme development in child protection related areas, including civil registration and legal identity, in a UN system agency or organization is an asset. Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is an asset.
