international humanitarian aid association which, since more than
- 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by
armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their basic needs
for food, water and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight
against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death
in the world, SI's interventions provide expertise in the field of
access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but
also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods.
Present in some twenty countries, the SI teams - 2500 people in
total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at
HQ, and a few volunteers - intervene with professionalism and
commitment while respecting cultural norms. About the mission With the outbreak of the conflict in April 2023 and forced
evacuation of Khartoum and West Darfur (El Geneina), SI was the
first international NGO to re-enter Darfur and resume its emergency
response. SI is since working in West Darfur, Central Darfur, North
Darfur, Gedaref, Al Jazeera and Khartoum, thanks to the support of
SHF, CDCS, ECHO and BHA. In February 2024, SI opened a base in
North Darfur to provide emergency assistance to populations, as
very few humanitarian organizations were operational in the state.
Similarly, SI opened an office in Zalinegei, Central Darfur in
November 2024. Today, activities are being implementing in West
Darfur, Central Darfur, North Darfur, Gedaref, Al Jazeera and
Khartoum States across WASH, Shelter and NFI support, Food Security
and Livelihood sectors. In the East, SI is implementing activities in Gedaref, Al
Jazeera and Khartoum states, with the main base currently in
Gedaref and sub-bases in Khartoum and Al Jazeera. The international
staff cover all three states and SI has national staff covering
multiple states. With funding from ECHO, CDCS, SHF and BHA, SI
covers basic needs of WASH, Livelihood and Shelter. The
interventions mainly target IDPs and returnees in the targeted
states. About the job General objective: The Deputy Finance Coordinator supports the Finance Coordinator
in processing accounting and financial transactions, as well as in
all tasks requested. He/she is responsible for implementing and monitoring, in close
collaboration with the Finance Coordinator, the financial
procedures on the different bases. The Deputy Finance Coordinator manages the finance team at
Coordination level and supervises the administrative teams in the
bases with the support and under the supervision of the Finance
Coordinator. He/she manages the cash processes (cash transfer, donor
payment…) at mission level under the supervision of the
finance coordinator. He/she takes on parts of the functions of the finance coordinator

in case of absence. The main challenges: A high volume of diverse projects, many involving partnership
with local partners ; A volatile and evolving context, requiring flexibility to respond
to ad-hoc requests such as new proposals, budget revisions, and
urgent reporting. Priorities for the 2/3 first months: Participate in improving the implementation of key operational
processes including archiving, voucherization, and digitization,
building capacity among local partners and staff to strengthen
sustainable impact ; Participate in the financial reporting of projects that will
end. Your profile Education / academic background: Bachelor degree in relavent field Experiance 2 years experience in the humanitarian sector 2 years experience on a similar position prefereably with SI Specific skills: Accounting Management Expert on Saga and knowledge on INGO Finance Management Strong experience in Budget management, and different donor

will be an asset SI will offer you A salaried position: According to experience, starting from EUR 2 475
gross per month (2 250 base salary + 10% annual leave allowance
paid monthly) and a monthly Per Diem of USD 750. SI also covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between
the expatriate's country of origin and the place of assignment. Breaks: During the assignment, a system of
alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of
- 7 working days every three months (with a USD 850 break allowance,
allocated by Sl). To these breaks periods, SI grants one (1)
additional rest day per month worked. Insurance package: Expatriates benefit from an
insurance package which refunds all healthcare expenses (including
medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological
expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks.
Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are
refunded. LIVING CONDITIONS: The coordination team is based in N'Djamena. The guest house
apartments have hot water, air conditioning and electricity.
Internet is available at the office, and at the guest house. The
city of N'Djamena offers a wide range of leisure facilities (gyms,
bars, restaurants, cultural institute, riverside walks, etc.) and a
large expatriate community. No curfew in N'Djamena. The
coordination team is supposed to regularly visit bases, mostly
those in Darfur which are more accessible. The GH in the field provide good housing condition, although it may
imply shared rooms sometimes, fluctuant internet connection, solar
panels and running water point. Social life is limited in the field
