In places where electricity, water and roads don’t always work, you can still send money with Wave. In 2017, we launched a mobile app in Senegal for cash deposit, withdrawal, and peer-to-peer and business payments. Now, we have millions of users across 9 countries and are growing fast. Our goal is to make Africa the first cashless continent and that’s where you come in… How you’ll help us achieve it We’re looking for a Welcome Officer who is personable and excited about getting things done. You’ll be the welcoming face of the company, responsible for greeting, welcoming, and guiding our staff, clients, and visitors, and will also support your lead, the People Operations Assistant, with administrative tasks. In this role, you’ll; Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately, notifying company personnel of visitor arrival, and answering or referring inquiries. Receive mail and packets, list them, and send them to their recipients while maintaining good traceability.

Direct visitors by maintaining employee and department directories, and keep all appropriate databases up to date on staff members, missions/other travel, document validity, residences, and any other relevant information (schools, airlines, telephone numbers, etc.). Communicate across Wave offices regarding staff travel and logistics, including flight tickets, hotel bookings for guests, and airport pick-ups and drop-offs. Interact with relevant authorities (ministries, consulates, etc.) regarding certificates, visas, permits, registration, etc. Keep a clean reception area safe by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Organize the Welcome side of events/meetings/seminars, coordinating with the parties concerned. Help with any other tasks as needed by the team. Key details

Localisation

Location: You’ll work from our office in Bamako. Work authorization in Mali is required. Contract type: 6 months fixed-term contract. Bachelor’s Degree, an associate degree, or professional training in Administration, Travel Industry, Tourism, or a similar field.

Very good command of written and spoken French. A local language and English are a plus. Computer proficiency and ability to operate Microsoft Office packages.

Three years experience in a similar position. You might be a good fit if you Are extremely organized and skilled in prioritizing multiple projects. Are a welcoming person with excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask. Are self-disciplined, highly motivated, and able to work independently. Have computer proficiency and ability to operate Microsoft Office packages.
